Produced by Greg Bieck, To Know You Love Me focuses on a more personal worship experience rather than a corporate worship setting. Each song flows seamlessly into the next, uninterrupted, as not to break the concentration of the worshiper. Unger wrote or co-wrote nine of the eleven songs on the album and features the first song Unger ever wrote with his grandfather when he was a teenager. This album is essentially a collaborative family effort which includes his wife, Falon, on background and lead vocals and his grandfather's lyrics on three songs.

Unger's current album, Disengage, continues to garner attention. His song "In You Alone" was recently recognized as Worship Leader Magazine's 2008 Independent Worship Song of the Year. Unger was also invited to perform the album live on Sirius/XM radio which has been aired four times on the network. He's opened for such artists as Casting Crowns, Michael W. Smith, Selah, Mark Schultz and Avalon. Unger's first single, "Behold," reached the Top 10 on R&R Soft AC and "Reaching For Me" hit the Top 20 on R&R Soft AC chart. His current radio single "Take Me Back" is currently going for adds.

Unger is the former member of the Word/Warner Bros duo Across The Sky who was nominated for a Dove Award for "New Artist of the Year" in 2004. Feeling the call of God on his life to lead worship as well as perform, Justin serves as the worship pastor at The Heights Church in Prescott, Arizona but has continued his music career with the support of the church.
